Our growth plan
The benefits of long-term regional planning are extensive and impactful. The EMRB’s forward-thinking regional growth plan, Re-imagine. Plan. Build., is our greatest advantage. Our plan provides a compelling vision and a policy framework that is structured to enable the Region’s growth and global competitiveness. While compromises may be necessary at times, it’s important to recognize that what benefits one part of the Region ultimately benefits the entire Region.

Guided by our plans, our actions align for success in three priority areas:
Enabling a prosperous Region
We enable the conditions for a globally competitive Region, where we support growth of major employment areas, ensure efficient infrastructure and transportation, and foster complete communities, in both rural and urban settings. This includes achieving servicing efficiencies that deliver savings to ratepayers, unparalleled quality of life, and a wealth of economic opportunities.
